@Mal I had it again a few weeks back and will agree the original score is a bit low. In my opinion a beer can rub the drinker up differently depending on the day so I will just have to assume it didn’t impress me overly on the day. Never the less decided to keep it as it was originally for posterity’s sake.

7.9/10 may be a bit harsh. It gets an 8.5 to 9 from me. You could go a long way before you found a better dark ale on the market, especially at this price point.

This is a delicious beer, easily high 8′s especially if you like dark ales as it does no wrong.

If your a fan of James Squires Amber Ale then this is right up your alley.
